Mike Blythe

Mike Blyth is the Chief Operating Officer for Risk and Strategic Management, Corp [RSM], having previously held various Vice President appointments for major global risk and training management organizations; including Control Risks Group and Global Strategies. Mike focuses on organizational resiliency and business continuity, policy design, program and operations management, education and capacity building, and crisis leadership; combining a wealth of international experience and knowledge with a Doctorate focused on organizational resilience. Mike is a ISO 22301 Certified Lead Auditor, Advanced Stress Trauma Counselor, Nuclear Accident Manager, 703 Adult Teacher, as well as a qualified ILM Risk Leader and ILM Train the Trainer advanced instructor. Mike is extensively traveled, living or working in over 45 countries. Mike has directly managed a raft of human-made and natural crisis events, including earthquakes, evacuations, pandemic responses, fraud, murders and terrorist attacks. He speaks at major conferences; including for the ESC, InsideNGO, for the Fulbright Scholars and ASIS, and develops security training for multiple state wide U.S. school authority programs (VA, NC, WA, MA). Mike assists a wide cross sector of sectors and industries with both strategic and operationally tailored solutions for global enterprises; including over 400 organizations; including specifically the NGO community, oil and gas sector, and IT and hospitality sectors. A former Major within the Royal Marine Commandos, Mike has diverse operations, training, policy design, auditing and risk advisory experience, including an appointment by the U.S. State Department to provide security and crisis management of operational United States, United Kingdom and Australian land, sea and air forces and assets following 9/11. Mike is also a published author with Wiley and Sons on security risk management and business continuity, as well as multiple academic Journals and practitioner magazines.
