Mike Bamigboye
Oluwaseyi Mike Bamigboye is a lawyer and holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from FMV Işık University in Turkey, where he was awarded the FMV Işık University Graduate Scholarship. He is currently pursuing a PhD under the Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (DUPRS) at the Faculty of Arts and Education, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Deakin University, Australia. His research focuses on the use of private force and provides an empirical analysis of its dynamics and regulation through interdisciplinary approaches from political science, international relations, law and criminology. He is a member of the Centre for Law as Protection at Deakin University. His publications include book chapters with Routledge and Springer and articles in Scopus-indexed journals. He has also participated as a panelist in policy-oriented events, such as the King’s College London Panel on African Agency and the Use of Private Military and Security Forces. In June 2024, he served as a resource for a European working group on private military and security companies.
