José Fernando Gonzalez Ante
José Fernando Gonzalez Ante was a Legal Intern for ICoCA. He is a Colombian licensed attorney graduated from the Externado de Colombia University and student of the LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights as scholarship holder. He has several years of experience in Colombia, where he worked with human rights NGOs as Colectivo de Abogados Jose Alvear Restrepo (CAJAR), Nydia Erka Bautista Foundation and Race and Equality, supporting victims of human rights violations in their pursuit of redress. He also worked for various years as legal analyst and defence counsel for former fighters with the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP), the war crimes tribunal created in the 2016 Peace Accord to address the crimes committed during the conflict through restorative justice to promote reconciliation and healing.
